Why We Built This Site
Washington court records are generally open to the public, with limits imposed by court rules and individual orders. The harder task is often finding the correct custodian. The Cowlitz County Clerk of Superior Court maintains Superior Court registers, filings, minutes, and orders. Cowlitz County District Court keeps its limited-jurisdiction files and the records of contracted municipal matters. Odyssey Portal, Defendant Access, and Washington Courts search tools each display a different part of that landscape. The material here connects verified contacts, portal functions, request procedures, and case-number clues to the office that holds the official record.

- Certified dockets, orders, and documents must come from the court
- Legal advice and case-specific interpretation are not provided
- Fees, contacts, and settings must be checked with the responsible office
An official or certified docket or court record can be issued only by the clerk or court that maintains it. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot supply the document.
